The 2023 Kia Forte has five trim levels which we’re going to discuss here. Each trim level has something unique to offer, from the affordability of the base LX trim level to the premium features offered by the high-end GT and GT Manual trim levels. Below, you can learn more about these trim level options as you prepare to choose the best trim level for you. You can find your perfect model here at Matt Castrucci Kia in Dayton, Oh.
The base model is the LX, though the LXS isn’t far ahead in terms of price. The LX has a starting price of $19,490 and the LXS has a starting price of $19,990. That makes the LX the base trim level, and other than its low price, it is recommendable for its stellar fuel economy performance, rated at 30 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. The LXS can’t quite match that at 28 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway, but it does make up for it with upgraded 16-inch wheels and 60/40 split-folding rear seats which make it convenient to use your storage space however you want to.
What all the other trim levels have in common is GT-Line body styling which sets them apart. The GT-Line itself is the lowest of these, with a $21,690 starting price. The GT has a starting price of $24,190 and the GT Manual has a starting price of $24,890. GT-Line features are mostly for enhanced style, although it also has more driver-assist capabilities, an upgraded touchscreen, and a push-button ignition for your convenience.
The GT and GT Manual are top-of-the-line and offer many premium upgrades including a wireless phone charger and advanced cruise control on the GT and a sunroof and premium audio system on the GT Manual. As the names suggest, the GT has an automatic transmission while the GT Manual has a manual transmission, which is perhaps the biggest difference between the two. Manual transmissions on new cars can be hard to come by, and if it’s a feature you want, the GT Manual will be the only trim level for you.
