We saw the Kia Stinger debut for the 2018 model year, and it was an immediate hit. We had never seen anything like it from Kia before and that is partly why it was and remains so popular. Everything we loved about the debut model is back for 2019 and we’re just as excited about it.
While the Stinger is undoubtedly known for its engine specs, it comes with plenty of practicality and technology as well. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, as well as Bluetooth connectivity, a backup camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, and heated front seats. Learn more about its performance below.
As a carryover model, the 2019 Kia Stinger comes with the same engine options found on the inaugural model of 2018. The Base and Premium trim levels come fitted with a 255-horsepower, 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine. Anytime you can get an engine that is powered by more than 200 horses, odds are you’re going to have some fun. This base engine also puts out 260 pound-foot of torque at 1,400 rpm and contributes to up to 29 highway mpg and 22 city mpg. Now, if you have a stronger need for speed and would like an engine to satisfy that need, check out the GT models. The GT, GT1, and GT2 all come with a much larger, 3.3-liter V6 engine powered by 365 horses. This engine puts out 376 pound-foot of torque and averages up to 25 highway mpg and 18 city mpg. Regardless of the trim you select, we don’t think you will have any complaints.
