It’s the perfect time to spend some time with Mom or even just enjoy some one-on-one time with the people that are important to you. How to celebrate Mother’s Day
Contrary to the old adage, you don’t have to do the traditional brunch. One of the best ways to celebrate is by doing things together. For gardening fans there is the Mayfair Plant Sale at Wegerzyn Gardens on Saturday, May 5. What better way to enjoy a beautiful Saturday than by looking for the perfect plants to add to your garden?
Perhaps an outdoor adventure is more your style? Check out the wildflower hike at Glen Helen on Saturday, May 12. Explore the lush landscape and take a moment to stop and enjoy the great outdoors with the important people in your life.
For those that love the traditional Mother’s Day brunch, you have a lot of options to choose from. A number of restaurants are having a special meal on Mother’s Day, including The Golden Jersey Inn, the Hilton Garden Inn Dayton, the Dayton Art Institute, Jay’s Restaurant and the Holiday Inn Dayton Fairborn.

Another option is to make breakfast or brunch at home. Perhaps prepare a large spread and then spend time catching up over homemade mimosas or check out a showing of that movie you both have been wanting to see. The possibilities are endless!
