Kia car powertrain warranty length

Kia offers a 10-year, 100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty on all its vehicles. This warranty beats the competition and offers you more years or miles of driving with peace of mind. Furthermore, for many people, ten years will be more than enough to cover the entirety of their ownership of the vehicle.

Confidence: The Kia Warranty | Kia

Which cars offer a 10-year warranty? You can hear it straight from the brand itself in this short video: all Kia models offer this warranty.

What other warranty coverage is offered for Kia cars?

In addition to the powertrain warranty, new Kia cars will come with a 5-year/60,000-mile limited basic warranty, a 5-year/60,000-mile roadside assistance plan, and a 5-year/100,000-mile limited anti-perforation warranty. With these plans, your Kia car will be set for your first five years of ownership.

Kia warranty trip interruption

Kia also offers trip interruption benefits for its warranty. Trip interruption policies reimburse people for meals, lodging, and rental car expenses when repairs require more than 24 hours to complete and take place 150 miles from home. If you travel a lot, the trip interruption benefit will give you peace of mind.

Are Kia warranties transferable to a second owner?

Kia vehicle warranties can be transferred to a second owner during the warranty period. That means the powertrain warranty can be transferred to a second owner during the 10-year, 100,000-mile period that starts at the time of purchase. If the warranty is expired based on time or mileage, sale to a new owner will not impact the expiration.

Kia vehicle warranty for tires

Tires can be expensive and wear down fast. For this reason, we get asked about tire warranties. While tires are not covered under the standard Kia warranty, roadside assistance can replace a flat tire or tow you to a nearby Kia dealership. Certain protection plans also offer regular tire rotations, tire replacement, cosmetic wheel repair, and more. Ask about a protection plan for your Kia.

Is there a Kia car warranty for paint?

Standard vehicle warranties don’t cover paint, another frequently asked-about component. However, you can get a protection plan to cover the cost of paint repair. Ask a team member for details.
