Modern technology seems to go with us almost everywhere. Our vehicles have more gadgets than we ever thought was possible. These days, we simply expect our cars to be filled with amazing technological innovations that we so often take for granted. The Kia Soul, one of the most popular Kia models over the last number of years, is no exception to that expectation. Check out what kind of techy perks come with this popular subcompact crossover.
What technologies come on the 2019 Kia Soul?
Rear camera display
Every 2019 Kia Soul comes fitted with a backup camera and a front display screen. You will see everything that’s behind you right on the Soul’s standard five-inch touchscreen display. Whenever you shift into reverse, the camera will activate and give you a high-definition view of what you might not otherwise be able to see. The system also includes a vehicle footprint that displays the Soul’s width.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
These two renowned infotainment systems work directly in sync with your compatible smartphone. They both come standard on the Plus and Exclaim trims and available on the Base. Simply pair your phone with the proper system and you will gain access to hands-free texting, calling, navigation, music, audiobooks, and much more.
Blind spot monitoring
Using radar technology, your Kia Soul can detect whenever another vehicle enters either of your blind spots. The corresponding side view mirror will subtly alert you with a blind spot detection indicator. While this certainly can help to improve your overall awareness, you should not use it as a replacement of checking your blind spot when turning or changing lanes. Blind spot monitoring is only available on the Plus and Exclaim models.
Other technological perks available include smart cruise control, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, LED interior lighting, and USB ports.
