When Will the 2022 Kia EV6 Be Available in Dayton OH?
When the 2022 Kia EV6 arrives at Matt Castrucci Kia, it will be available in a pair of models – Kia EV6 First Edition and Kia EV6 GT – that will join the all-electric 2021 Kia Niro EV in the lineup. What Are the 2022 Kia EV6 Performance Specs and Features?
Built on a brand-new Electric-Global Modular Platform, the 2022 Kia EV6 will be available in rear-wheel drive or with dual-motor all-wheel drive. Kia EV6 editions will employ the same 114.2-inch wheelbase as the Kia Telluride, similar width to the Ford Mustang Mach-E and the ground clearance of the Tesla Model Y. Brand-new Kia EV6 models provide seating for five passengers with 102 cubic feet of passenger space and 27.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats.
The 2022 Kia EV6 is built around a pair of Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese battery pack options – 58.0-kWh and 77-kWh – that will provide up to 300 miles of range on a single charge. Rear-wheel drive Kia EV6 entries with the 58.0-kWh battery pack employ a 160-kW rear-mounted motor that makes 167 horsepower. When powered by the 77.4-kWh battery pack, the RWD Kia EV6 will make 225 horsepower with a 160-kW electric motor. Kia EV6 AWD models with the 77.4-kWh battery pack employ a 70-kW front motor and a 160-kW rear motor to make 320 horsepower. The 2022 Kia EV6 GT trim level promises to be the top performer in the lineup with a 160-kW front motor and 270-kW rear motor paired with the 77.4-kWh battery pack to make 576 horsepower – which translates to a 3.5-second zero to 60 mph time.
Kia EV6 models will be outfitted with a multi-charging system that allows owners to use 400-volt and 800-volt DC fast-charging stations. With 800-volt DC fast charging and a 350-kW charger, the Kia EV6 will recharge up to 80% of the battery in just 18 minutes.
