How much horsepower does the 2019 Kia Sorento have?
Like most other vehicles of its kind, the 2019 Sorento comes available with a couple different engine options. The base Sorento, known as the L trim, comes standard with a 2.4-liter inline-four-cylinder engine powered by 185 horses. This is the most efficient option as it averages up to 29 highway mpg, 22 city mpg, and 25 combined mpg.
Those who care more about efficiency should have no problem with the base engine. Those, however, who want to maximize their performance will want to check out the higher trim levels. The LX, EX, SX, and SXL trims all come with a 3.3-liter V6 engine with a whopping 290 horsepower. All trims except the base L come available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive. As for towing, you will want to go with the V6 engine option to maximize your capacity. The added torque of 252 pound-foot contributes to the vehicle’s maximum towing capacity of 5,000 lbs.
