One of the most important and significant parts of the holiday is Beggars Night, or Trick-Or-Treating.
Trick or Treat teaches children the lifelong lesson that mixing a couple of hours of challenging work, with some smooth talking and theatrics will net tasty rewards! For parents, it’s a fantastic opportunity to teach children about portioning and budgeting their sugar, and savoring a stockpile of something rather than eating all of it and having nothing in a week.
When is Beggars Night / Trick-or-Treating 2017 in Dayton, Ohio?
The City of Dayton will observe Beggars Night, or Trick or Treat on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. During this time, children will be able to knock on the doors of well-lit houses and receive treats. Drivers are encouraged to be extra careful, and on the look out for children crossing roads or entering the street from between parked cars.
