Adding a device to Bluetooth in a Kia
Connecting your smartphone to Kia’s Bluetooth system is actually relatively simple. You’ll just have to follow a few steps, and you’ll be all set to start making and answering calls, wirelessly streaming music and more all while your eyes stay on the road and hands stay on the wheel.
- Turn Bluetooth on on your smartphone
- Depending on what type of phone you have, you may also need to select “Discover,” “Search,” or “Find Connection”
- Press the “Setup” button on your Kia’s radio unit, and select “Phone”
- Select “Pair”
- If it asks you to say the name of your phone, do so and afterwards say “Yes”
- On your radio unit, you’ll see the name of your car and a passkey. Enter the passkey into your phone after selecting the name of your vehicle
- Pairing is complete!

Hi, i have a Kia Sportage 2017 with car navigation system. When I connect my smartphone via bluetooth, it is recognized as a headset and not as a phone and therefore does not take full advantage of all the features. For example, when a call comes in, I hear the ringtone of the phone and not the phone system ring. My smartphone is a MEIZU PRO 5. Thank you
